We are looking for a skilled H2-GO Hydroblast Driver/Operator to join our team at Jack Coupe & Sons Ltd, based in Shildon but working on projects across the UK. This is an exciting opportunity for a mechanically minded HGV driver who enjoys working on the road, tackling challenging technical tasks, and taking pride in delivering top-quality results.

Success in this role means operating and maintaining our state-of-the-art Hydroblasting equipment efficiently, ensuring the highest standards of safety, and completing jobs to client satisfaction. You will play a critical part in supporting our nationwide operations, with future opportunities to progress into heavy goods mechanical qualifications or to transition into our expanding white lining division.

How this role fits into the organisation

Jack Coupe & Sons Ltd is a respected name in the road marking and surface preparation sector, known for innovation, reliability, and commitment to quality. As a Hydroblast Operator, you will help uphold our reputation by ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification, contributing to our broader goals of excellence and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

* Operate and manage H2-GO Hydroblast equipment on various road and surface removal projects across the UK.
* Drive and transport Hydroblast trucks (requires valid HGV licence) to client sites nationwide.
* Carry out routine maintenance, checks, and minor mechanical repairs on the truck and plant equipment to ensure optimal performance.
* Collaborate closely with team members and site supervisors to plan and deliver jobs efficiently and safely.
* Maintain accurate records of completed work, equipment use, and any mechanical issues.
* Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and company policies on every site.
* Represent the company professionally, maintaining high standards of customer service and on-site conduct.

Qualifications

* Valid HGV licence (Class 1 or 2).
* Strong mechanical aptitude; able to perform maintenance and basic repairs on heavy plant equipment.
* Willingness and ability to travel regularly across the UK, often staying overnight.
* Commitment to high safety standards and quality of work.
* Prior experience operating Hydroblasting or similar surface preparation equipment.
* Heavy goods mechanical qualifications (or willingness to pursue these through company-supported development).
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

What we offer

* Competitive salary with travel allowance.
* Bonus scheme linked to job completions.
* Ongoing training and development, with opportunities to gain mechanical qualifications or broaden your role into white lining operations.
* A supportive, forward-thinking team environment.
* The chance to work on diverse projects across the country, contributing to high-profile infrastructure improvements.
