Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
* Location: Rochester- must be a car driver due to location
* Job Type: Full-time Monday to Friday 0830am to 1630pm
* £100 per day
We are a specialist independent school for children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). We are currently seeking dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistants for both primary and secondary levels. Day-to-day of the role:
* Provide tailored support to students with ASD, both inside and outside the classroom.
* Work closely with teachers to implement individual education plans and ensure students make progress.
* Assist in the development of students’ social, emotional, and personal skills.
* Communicate effectively with learners and their parents/carers.
* Manage behaviour positively and patiently to foster a conducive learning environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* NVQ Level 2/3 in Learning Support, or willingness to work towards this qualification.
* Youth Worker qualification or the willingness to work towards one.
* Good literacy and numeracy skills.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with parents.
* Experience working with ASD learners is desirable but not essential.
* A positive attitude and commitment to professional development in the field of special education.
