Main duties of the job
As a Deputy Lead Social Worker, you will support the social work team in child and adult safeguarding, deputize for the Lead Social Worker in quality assurance meetings, and deliver supervision and appraisal to junior and senior social workers. You will liaise with external agencies to fulfill statutory duties and support carers and families of detained patients.

* Supporting the social work team in safeguarding.
* Deputizing for the Lead Social Worker in quality assurance meetings.
* Leading safeguarding induction and training.
* Managing mental capacity issues and best interest decisions within multidisciplinary teams.
* Supervising social workers and liaising with external agencies such as MAPPA, Local Authority Social Services, CMHT, FIND, FOLS, Police, and Probation.
* Supporting carers and families of detained patients.
Qualifications and requirements
* Registration with Social Work England.
* Good knowledge of relevant legislation.
