The successful candidate will support a range of fabric maintenance and carpentry tasks, with a strong emphasis on fire‑door remedial works ahead of an upcoming audit.This opportunity is well suited to a professional Carpenter with proven experience in public, educational, cultural, gallery or museum environments. Candidates should ideally hold an NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry or an equivalent qualification. Key Responsibilities Fire Door Remedial Works (Primary Requirement) The core focus of this assignment is the completion of comprehensive fire‑door repairs and compliance works across the estate. Candidates must demonstrate: Extensive hands‑on experience repairing, adjusting, and maintaining fire doors in line with current fire‑safety regulations. Competence in replacing and fitting intumescent strips, smoke seals, hinges, closers, locks, latches and associated ironmongery.
