Job Title: Disability Services Support Worker Learning / Intellectual / Physical Disability/Acquired Brain Injury
Reports To: Team Leader
Salary: £12.21 per hour
Location: Banbridge, with some travel required within Northern Ireland
Hours Of Work: Occasional Hours

Purpose Of Support Worker Role: To assist the Team Leader in providing professional and high-quality support to individuals with physical and learning disabilities and acquired brain injury, promoting recovery through a strengths-based, person-centered approach
Main Responsibilities of Support Worker:
* Develop and maintain a positive, trusting, and professional relationship with the person being supported
* Provision of direct support to include overnight support where applicable, ensuring physical and mental well-being
* Assist individuals in setting and achieving personal-oriented goals, including social inclusion and self-esteem
Person Specification: Applicants must provide evidence of meeting the essential and desirable criteria, including education and professional qualifications, previous experience, and interpersonal skills
Essential Criteria:
* Level 2 Essential Skills in Maths and English or GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English
* Minimum of three months experience within the last twelve months, supporting individuals with physical or learning disabilities
* Ability to demonstrate alignment with Threshold's core values
Desirable Criteria:
* QCF Diploma Level 2 in Health & Social Care, or demonstrable equivalent
* Possess a current and valid driving license or have access to a form of transport that will permit the candidate to meet the requirements of the post in full
