About the Role Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Worker to join their team in Reading. You'll play a key role in fabricating, cutting, bending, and assembling sheet metal components to support their bespoke engineering and acoustic control solutions. Further training and development are offered aiming to have a better understanding of the business and potentially progressing towards becoming a supervisor or Factory Manager. Key Responsibilities Accurately interpret and work from technical drawings, blueprints, and job specifications. Measure, mark out, cut, bend, form, and assemble sheet metal components using presses, brakes, shears, rollers, guillotines, and hand tools. Work to precise tolerances and uphold high standards of craftsmanship and finish. Conduct quality inspections and ensure compliance with ISO9001 or equivalent quality standards. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workshop environment, following health and safety protocols. Suggest process improvements and collaborate with team members to enhance productivity. Essential Skills & Qualifications Proven experience in sheet metal fabrication, including experience with a range of machinery (press brake, rollers, guillotines, shears). Competent in reading and interpreting technical drawings and engineering specifications. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality workmanship. Good time-management skills and reliability.
