We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen environment, supporting chefs and kitchen staff in food preparation and service. This position is perfect for individuals looking to gain valuable experience in the culinary field within a vibrant restaurant setting.
Dylans at The Kings Arms is a bar and dining room housed in a 15th Century Tudor building on George Street in the Cathedral Quarter of St Albans.

Responsibilities
* Assist with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and utensils.
* Support chefs during service by ensuring that all necessary ingredients and tools are readily available.
* Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
* Dispose of waste properly and ensure recycling practices are followed.
* Help with stock rotation and inventory management.
* Assist in maintaining health and safety standards within the kitchen environment.

Qualifications
* Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential.
* Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking processes.
* Strong organisational skills with an ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* A keen interest in hospitality and culinary arts.
* Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 48 per week
