Working with children and young adults to create full scale productions
We are looking for a director/drama coach to join our team who will lead our Stage Club productions that we operate in schools in and around Edinburgh.
Those applying should have experience:
- working with children and young adults.
- hold a current PVG
- putting on productions from auditions, staging, directing.
- working to improve their drama skills while also looking at the show vision and production value.
- working with others to create a show.
- be able to work with a script and adapt it where required.
- work with the wider team to bring a full show vision to life.
- communicating with parents and carers.
We have various productions and classes running from September-June. This is a yearly contract/project initially, but will continue onwards with scope to grow and develop.
Applicants must be available for the following classes/rehearsals:
- Mondays from Sep-March from 3.00pm-5.00pm
- Wednesday from Aug-June from 5.00pm-9.00pm
- Thursday from Sep-March from 3.00pm-5.30pm
- Thursday from Aug-June from 7.00pm-9.00pm
- Fridays from Sep-March from 12.30pm-3.00pm (not confirmed)
Over 2 weeks in March there will be various shows and productions that you must be available for and 2 weeks in June that you will be available for shows and productions. This will mostly be evening and weekend, but some creative aspects will take place throughout the days where required. Dates will be given to those prior to any interviews.

Pay works out at £25ph (rehearsals) and £15ph (show times). Full breakdowns will be sent prior to any interviews.
Everyone will apply on a self employed basis and will handle their own N.I and tax. Payment will be made via invoice over set dates in the year.
