S25-409 Oracle Financial Systems Assistant Analyst (LC5-6)

Applications are invited for the post of Oracle Financial Systems Assistant Analyst within the recently formed Financial Systems Team in Finance based at Hutton Headquarters. The Financial Systems Team has taken ownership of managing, maintaining and developing our own Financial System, opening a wide range of development opportunities in the Finance Team. This includes using Microsoft Excel to analyse data, create Pivot tables, write Macros in Visual Basic for Applications, and learning to programme with SQL to query the database and create reports using Oracle Developer and Blitz Reporting.

Key Responsibilities

* Liaise with the system provider regarding user system issues and Constabulary requirements where necessary.
* Investigate and resolve system issues across all Oracle modules, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cash Management, Debt Collection, Procurement, I Procurement, Systems Administration and Fixed Asset.
* Provide a system admin role ensuring accuracy and quality assurance of functions and activities within each of the above modules.
* Produce and quality‑assure management information and statistical data in response to internal and external requirements. This involves extracting data from Oracle or associated systems and processing it using Microsoft Excel and Oracle SQL.
* Assist in reviewing Oracle Financials System functionality and procedures in response to new legislation, statutory requirements or Force policy.


Vetting and Medical

Please be aware that appointment is conditional upon successful completion of Recruitment Vetting (RV). There is a minimum 3‑year UK residency requirement for RV, and applicants must be 18 years old at the time of application. Successful candidates will also be required to pass a medical assessment. Shortlisted candidates will need to undertake an interview assessment, including an Excel test.
