In this role you will be a results driven, experienced and highly adaptable Supply Chain Excellence Manager, leading change and aware of future industry trends. Your prime responsibilities will be to lead the SCE function and to support the Head of Supply Chain Management to define, develop and localize the departmental strategy.
The Supply Chain Excellence function plays a pivotal role within SCM, taking ownership of and driving various critical areas including Lean Manufacturing, Productivity enhancements, Engineering Change Management, Digitalization in Manufacturing, and Method Study.
As a key member of the SCM Leadership Team you will be a role model for the Siemens Healthineers Values and Healthineers Performance System (HPS).
Responsibilities:
Strategy Development: In support of the global MR SCM strategy, define, develop, and localize the Oxford SCM strategy, providing a clear vision and strategic direction for the department.
The goal is to support MR growth whilst increasing productivity and resilience.
Value Chain Evaluation: Through the application of benchmarking activities and value chain analysis, influence and drive technology opportunities that are state of the art.
Strategy Projects Implementation: Create SCM project structures on flagship SCM strategy projects to sustainably translate strategy into results.
Supply Chain Policy Development and Compliance: Alongside the Global SCE team in Germany, implement business regulations and procedures to ensure harmonization and alignment with organizational standards and industry regulations.
Goal Setting and Achievement: Define departmental deliverables, objectives, and goals in line with the organization's Hoshin Kanri targets. Execute plans collaboratively with other departments and senior management to achieve departmental objectives and KPI’s.
Team Management: Recruit, hire, and train colleagues to meet the department goals. Set performance expectations, provide feedback, and conduct performance evaluations. Promote teamwork and a positive work environment, seek out appropriate development opportunities for self and others through our People and Leadership Practices (PLP). Be an inspirational Leader and coach to your Team and the wider SCM organisation.
Stakeholder Communication: Establish effective communication channels and collaborative networks with internal and external stakeholders putting in place or contributing to regular Senior Team communications.
Reporting: Prepare regular innovative and professional reports on business and departmental activities, achievements, and challenges for the wider SCM Team and the Senior Management Team. Reporting should align with our digital automated vision.
Data Analysis: Employ innovative data gathering techniques and leading-edge analysis to enable insightful informed decisions and drive business performance.
Fostering a Culture of Innovation: Drive a culture of innovation within the department and wider SCM Team, advocating for the incorporation of innovative technologies and processes that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Digitalisation: Develop core competence in IT system architecture within the team, taking ownership and setting the standards for SCM anchored to the global MR digitalisation team.
Healthineers Performance System: Aligning to the global HPS strategy, develop a local enabling HPS program through effective co-ordination.
Profile & Skills:
Comprehensive collaboration and influencing skills, enabling you to build strong business relationships with various stakeholders. Excellent communication skills, able to convince employees of a vision and approach the necessary changes; this also includes appropriately managing and resolving conflicts. Comprehensive analytical skills and a purposeful approach enable you to structure complex situations and define a clear strategy. Personal qualities include decisiveness, entrepreneurial thinking, and a focus on achieving business success. A passion for coaching and developing diverse people in a multicultural environment.
Qualifications and experience:
You have a completed technical or business degree. You have many years of extensive, relevant professional experience in the field of manufacturing which includes driving lean initiatives, engineering change management and application of method studies. Additionally, you bring many years of operational experience in the strategy process, i.e., you have led or significantly influenced several strategy projects. You are familiar with the state of the art in the areas of planning, procurement, manufacturing, logistics in a global environment, and especially digitization and automation for the holistic SCM value chain. You are excellently networked in relevant Supply Chain industry forums.
