Job Summary
The NRSWA (New Roads and Street Works Act) role is essential for ensuring that all street works are carried out in compliance with legal regulations and safety standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating street works, ensuring minimal disruption to traffic and pedestrians while maintaining high safety standards. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and excellent communication skills.
Duties
* Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with NRSWA regulations.
* Liaise with local authorities, contractors, and the public regarding street works.
* Monitor the progress of street works and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
* Prepare reports on site conditions, work progress, and compliance issues.
* Provide guidance and support to team members on NRSWA requirements.
* Identify potential hazards and implement measures to mitigate risks.
* Assist in training staff on NRSWA regulations and best practices.
Qualifications
* Valid NRSWA certification is essential.
* Previous experience in street works or a related field is desirable.
* Strong understanding of health and safety regulations pertaining to roadworks.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
