Job summary Are you a strategic commercial leader with a passion for driving growth in complex, international markets? We are looking for an experienced Group Commercial Director (GCD) to play a pivotal role in shaping our global commercial success. Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will lead the development and execution of a unified commercial strategy across diverse sectors and regions. This is a high-impact leadership position where you will drive profitable growth, strengthen key partnerships, and position the company as a market leader in helicopter services. As Group Commercial Director, you will take ownership of our commercial direction and performance across key sectors, including Oil & Gas Offshore, Wind, Shipping Pilot Services, Government & Military, HEMS, and MRO. This role can be situated at any of the NHV bases, preferred is Aberdeen. Responsibilities and areas Develop and implement a global commercial growth strategy in close collaboration with the Chief Commercial Officer Identify new market opportunities through strong market intelligence and industry insight Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders Lead and oversee bids, tenders, and proposals, ensuring compliance and competitiveness Represent the company in high-level negotiations, client meetings, and industry events Manage the full sales pipeline using CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce) to drive performance and insights Oversee commercial performance at selected operational bases, ensuring contractual excellence and customer satisfaction Provide strategic advice to the Executive Committee to support decision-making and long-term planning Mentor and guide the commercial team, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture What you bring You are a commercially driven leader with a strong track record in complex, international environments. You combine strategic insight with hands-on execution and know how to turn opportunities into sustainable growth. We are looking for someone who brings: Significant management experience in a senior commercial or business leadership role A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience Strong knowledge of the aviation sector; experience within helicopter services is a distinct advantage Proven ability to lead commercial initiatives and manage high-value client relationships In addition, you excel in: Using ICT tools to develop high-quality bids, proposals, and presentations Communicating clearly and effectively with stakeholders at all levels Negotiating complex agreements and driving successful outcomes Working fluently in English in a professional, international environment What we offer This is a unique opportunity to take on a high-impact leadership role within a dynamic, international environment.
