Join our Governance team in a well-respected, award-winning organisation managing a £11 billion pension fund. This role leads the coordination and delivery of a high-quality democratic support service to our Authority and Local Pension Board members.

What you’ll be doing
* Lead the operation of decision-making arrangements and scrutiny processes; provide an excellent democratic support service to Authority and Local Pension Board members.
* Develop and manage processes for work programmes, agenda and minutes production, and recording of decisions at the Authority, its committees, and the Local Pension Board.
* Support members throughout the municipal year and identify learning and development needs; coordinate scheduling and provision of relevant training.
* Collaborate with the Director, Senior Management Team, managers, and colleagues across the organisation; liaise with democratic services teams across South Yorkshire and partners in the Border to Coast Pensions Partnership.
What you’ll be able to offer
You will bring substantial experience and expertise in democratic services. A relevant professional qualification or membership (e.g., Association of Democratic Services Officers) or equivalent knowledge from experience with willingness to undertake further accredited training.
Experience in the public sector is essential; knowledge from Local Government experience is advantageous, including LGPS familiarity.
Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills; proven minute taking and attention to detail. Highly developed ICT skills with practical experience of meeting management software and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
