HOURS OF WORK

THE ROLE
This is a hybrid role requiring the postholder to act as a Keyholder and Leisure Assistant during the shift.
This role offers an excellent career opportunity for the successful candidate, including comprehensive training and development. You will have the chance to step up as a Relief Duty Manager, providing cover as needed in our uniquely designed, customer-focused leisure centre.
As the Key Holder, you will supervise all staff in the absence of the Duty Manager to ensure that the facility is adequately staffed on-shift. You will effectively deal with staffing issues and motivate the team to maintain excellent standards of performance, cleanliness and customer care. You will also liaise with customers to resolve complaints in a timely and professional manner. You will work closely with the Duty Manager throughout the shift and at the point of hand over to ensure the operational transition/service continuity standards are maintained at all times.
The Leisure Assistant aspect of this role sees you work as part of a team of Lifeguards monitoring the pool area and providing trained assistance to users in difficulty, including when necessary, administering First Aid. The role also involves providing excellent customer care, setting up activities (pool, dry sports, meeting/conference and major events) and other general duties, to ensure that the centre is clean and secure and operating to the high standards expected by our many customers and users.
Requirements
* A valid National Pool Lifeguard certificate and have an up-to-date training record.
* A valid Pool Plant Operator’s certificate or be willing to obtain this relevant qualification.
We are committed to safeguarding and therefore this post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
If successful, you must complete a Lifeguard competency assessment test.
