Salary: £75-80k per annum (pro rata)

THE ROLE
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Director to oversee the development and implementation of all technical aspects of our immersive experience at our new site in London. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless integration of technology to enhance the guest experience through expert project management, logistical coordination, and risk mitigation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership & Strategy:
* Oversee the implementation of technology strategies aligned with the creative vision and project objectives.
* Coordinate with technical teams and external vendors to ensure the successful delivery of technical solutions.
* Research and evaluate emerging technologies and trends relevant to immersive experiences, providing strategic input on their potential application.
* Contribute to the development of technical specifications and design documentation.
* Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment for technical implementation.
Project Management:
* Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for technology implementation, with a focus on resource allocation, scheduling, and risk mitigation.
* Manage multiple technology implementation projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest technical standards.
* Track project progress, identify and mitigate potential technical risks, and resolve technical challenges.
* Communicate effectively with creative designers, technical teams, and external technology partners throughout the project lifecycle.
Technical Oversight:
* Oversee the quality and reliability of all technical systems and installations, coordinating with technical teams and external vendors to ensure seamless integration.
* Ensure that all technical installations are completed to the required safety standards.
* Ensure the technical documentation is kept up to date.
* Coordinate technical testing and commissioning.
* Deliver a full technical specification user manual for the ongoing operation and maintenance of technical aspects of the park
Budget Management:
* Develop and manage project budgets for technology implementation, including vendor contracts and resource allocation.
* Negotiate contracts with technology vendors and suppliers.
* Ensure cost-effectiveness and efficient use of technical resources.
SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
Essential:
* At least 5 years of proven experience in senior technical production, interactive installations, or a similar role.
* Demonstrated experience in managing complex technology projects (with examples of scale and complexity).
* Strong project management skills, with a proven ability to manage complex technology projects and coordinate with diverse technical teams and external vendors.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
* Understanding of interactive technologies, software development, and hardware integration.
* Budget management experience in technology development environments.
* Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, particularly in technical challenges and risk mitigation.
* Ability to work full-time on site in West London.
Desirable:
* Experience in the immersive experience, themed entertainment, or interactive media industry.
* Knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in interactive installations and immersive environments.
* Experience in vendor management and contract negotiation.
* Knowledge of technical production workflows.
* Understanding of the technical requirements for immersive experiences.
