Job Description:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Specification Manager South West to join our Commercial Sales team. This position is well-suited to a high-energy individual with a drive for self-motivation and self-development who is looking to use excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence, inspire, and build long-term relationships with our customers.
As part of the Commercial Sales team, you will use your expertise and experience to manage Architects & Designers, Flooring contractors, Developers, and End-users, and deliver projects regionally. Using your entrepreneurial skills and sensitivity to complex business environments, you will develop and maintain a pipeline of major projects while cultivating strong and sustainable business relationships across the region through a consultative sales approach.
Responsibilities:
* Manage your area autonomously, including owning relationships with Architects & Designers, flooring contractors, developers, and end-users, as well as generating project pipelines from start to finish.
* Drive new business to expand Karndean's customer base with your strategic sales plan.
* Use digital and face-to-face meetings to deliver professional sales experiences and meet sales targets.
* Own your numbers by being accountable for sales, margin, and customer satisfaction, utilizing excellent product knowledge and negotiation skills.
* Collaborate with National Specification Managers to secure major projects through supply chain agreements.
* Work effectively with the Commercial team and wider business to achieve optimal results.
* Use CRM tools to manage customers and projects, and prepare monthly and interim reports.
Requirements:
* Experience in Specification Sales with a proven record in delivering major projects within flooring, construction, or interior finishes sectors.
* Attention to detail and the ability to resolve complex issues to find the best solutions for customers.
* A pioneering spirit to deliver on customer promises.
* Good understanding of the Construction sector, key stakeholders, and influencers.
* Proficiency in digital tools to deliver sales solutions tailored to different customer needs.
* Flexibility to work both from home and on the road, focusing on results-driven behaviors.
