Salary Equivalent (FTE): While the role is based on a 4-day week with a salary of £40,000–£45,000, this is equivalent to £50,000–£56,250 on a traditional 5-day schedule—ensuring your value is recognised.
What This Role Involves
As a Duty Solicitor (Associate), you’ll play a key role in delivering strategic, compassionate defence for our clients. Your responsibilities will include:
* Representing clients during police station interviews, Magistrates’ Court hearings, and Crown Court proceedings
* Developing proactive defence strategies and managing your caseload with care and confidence
* Working closely with experienced advocates and senior solicitors to achieve strong outcomes
* Maintaining clear communication with clients and providing thoughtful, empathetic legal advice

* Qualified solicitor with duty accreditation
* A strong grasp of criminal law, excellent client care, and the ability to manage complex cases
* Organised, tech-literate, and a clear communicator

What You Can Expect
* £40,000–£45,000 base salary (4-day week) | FTE: £50,000–£56,250
* 10% fee share (duty slot cases) | 20% fee share (self-sourced work)
