1:1 Teaching Assistant – Year 2 Support, Waterlooville

Are you a caring and dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with additional needs? We are looking for a compassionate 1:1 TA to provide personalised support to a Year 2 pupil in our friendly primary school in Waterlooville.
✨ The Role:
You will work closely with the child, helping them access the curriculum and participate fully in school life. Your support will be vital in fostering their confidence, independence, and academic progress.
✅ Key Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored one-to-one support for the child with additional learning needs
* Assist with learning activities both inside and outside the classroom
* Help develop social, emotional, and behavioural skills
* Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and parents to meet the child’s needs
* Maintain records and contribute to monitoring progress
About You:
* Experience supporting children with SEN, ideally in a primary setting
* Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 TA) are desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
