Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Transport Planner based in Rushock. The Transport Planner will be responsible for the effective planning and coordination of transportation services. This includes analysing and optimising transport routes, coordinating schedules, overseeing transportation operations, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Requirements
Experienced in planning and routing haulage work
Establishing customer requirements accurately and arranging collections and deliveries, within stated timescales
Haulage exchange experience preferred for not essential
Routing vehicles efficiently both from a time management point of view and to minimize distance traveled, with regard to weight and size of vehicles
Work using traffic management systems and prioritizing freight to meet customer needs and the commercial needs of the company. Searching online platforms for loads as required
Debrief drivers, manage and monitor their performance, escalating any infringements or performance issues to management and HR department
Ensure all work is carried out with due regard for health and safety of our customers, employees and visitors
Report any accidents, incidents and issues to management immediately
Support the company in making sure all license checks are up to date, that the WTD is adhered to and the drivers have completed the training necessary for their driver DQC
Monitor defect reporting and liaise with the workshop over availability
Support Accounts and Customer Service teams to ensure that jobs can be invoiced promptly by making sure they are priced in a timely manner and paperwork is complete
Any queries or complaints should be dealt with promptly to ensure our customers get the best possible experience when dealing with Tooles Transport
Excellent IT skills and experience in TMS/routing programs
CPC or experience in driver/vehicle compliance advantageous
