Plastic Vacuum Forming / Industrial Thermoforming
Wrights Plastics is a leading UK acrylic & plastic fabricator and a leading plastic products manufacturer making a wide range of products for use in sectors, such as retail, automotive and industry. The company has been established for over 50 years and is proud to have an impressive client base that includes renowned retailers, design agencies, car makers and UK manufacturers.
They are seeking a dedicated and technically adept Technical Account Manager to join their team in the plastic thermoforming industry. The successful candidate will work closely with customers to ensure their needs are met, provide technical guidance on thermoforming processes, and be the primary point of contact for all customer-facing technical sales matters. This position requires a blend of technical sales expertise and strong communication skills to build lasting customer relationships and deliver solutions that meet both customer requirements and business goals.
Customer Support: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for key accounts, addressing customer enquiries, troubleshooting issues, and offering solutions throughout the lifecycle of the product.
Build and develop new sales opportunities generated through company marketing activities and where appropriate via own initiative.
Identify and resolve technical issues related to thermoforming, such as material performance, process limitations.
Sales Support: Assist the sales team in generating proposals, estimates and quotations for clients, ensuring that technical aspects of the project are thoroughly addressed.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Technical team, manufacturing, and quality control teams to ensure the technical requirements are fully understood and integrated into production.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a technical account management or engineering role, ideally, within the plastic thermoforming/vacuum forming industry or a closely related field.
Strong understanding of plastic thermoforming processes, materials, and technologies.
Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and industry standards.
Preferred Skills: Familiarity with ERP systems and customer relationship management (CRM) tools.
