Due to continued growth, we are looking for a skilled Framework Welder to join our dedicated Fabrication team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced welder/fabricator who takes pride in accuracy, quality workmanship, and working from detailed engineering drawings.
You'll play a key role in manufacturing structural frameworks and associated equipment used in the production and assembly of investment casting systems, contributing directly to high-quality, precision-engineered solutions.
The Role
* Read and accurately interpret detailed technical and engineering drawings
* Manufacture and assemble steel frameworks and components using MIG welding
* Confidently weld 40mm, 60mm and 80mm mild steel box sections to specification
* Complete work with minimal linishing and finishing
* Carry out occasional sawing, pedestal drilling, and general fabrication tasks
* Ensure components meet dimensional tolerances, quality standards, and bend allowances
* Support wider production activities as required.
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience in a fabrication and welding environment
* Strong MIG welding capability (TIG or spot welding experience is advantageous)
* Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
* Good understanding of tolerances and material behaviour under heat
* Basic use of hand tools and small power tools
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Fabrication & Welding (or equivalent) preferred.
* Full, clean UK driving licence
* FLT licence (advantageous but not essential)
