Overview
Join Childbase Partnership as the Kitchen Assistant at our 120-place West Cambridge Day Nursery in Cambridge. This role is full-time (37.5 hours per week) with a variety of shifts between 7:30am and 6:30pm, Monday to Friday, 52 weeks of the year.

Responsibilities
* Work with the Nursery Cook to maintain a 5-star food hygiene rating and manage the kitchen in the Nursery Cook’s absence.
* Provide wholesome, healthy meals for children under five; contribute to preparing meals from a set menu using fresh ingredients.
* Ensure cleanliness and compliance with COSHH, allergens, and environmental health legislation; meet all children’s dietary requirements.
* Support a team environment and build respectful relationships with colleagues, children, and parents to promote healthy eating choices.
* Contribute to a safe, efficient kitchen operation and follow site-specific procedures.
Qualifications and qualities
* Passionate about providing nutritious food for young children.
* Natural attention to detail; knowledge of COSHH, allergens and environmental health regulations.
* Team-oriented with ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, children and parents.
Requirements
* Right to work in the UK; confirmation required before starting. VISA sponsorship is not available.
* Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
* Provision of Right to Work documentation and relevant qualifications.
