A bit about the role… In conjunction with the Junior Buyer & Senior Team develop the strategy for your department delivering across all channels ensuring there are clear building blocks and commercial KPIs reflecting business strategy. Deliver budgeted KPIs (i.e. cash sales & margin, costs). Owns all aspects of the department and WSSI, understanding forecasting, stock planning and intake management. Deliver on monthly stock targets, rephasing where appropriate, to ensure operational efficiency and sales are protected. With buying ensure ranges are commercially balanced, support the multi-channel trading strategy & are aligned with the needs of the customer considering key parameters. Leads product sign offs with Junior Buyer, clearly demonstrating how the product plan will deliver the budgeted KPIs in line with strategy and customer requirements. Undertakes regular performance reviews across their categories to ensure financial targets are on track. With buying identify trends, risks & opportunities, understand underlying factors & take appropriate action to maximise opportunities/mitigate risks. Identify problems, find solutions & revise plans/actions promptly to resolve issues. Establish and maintain constructive and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across the business. Have a hands-on approach to the line management and development of direct reports. Role modelling the Ann Summers behaviours to inspire them to do their very best. Be an ambassador for the business and champion our Ann Summers brand values at all times. Lead and role model our brand and people values in my team and across the business. We’re looking for someone who has: Previous experience as a Junior Merchandiser, ideally within a category that carries multiple sized options. A passion for influencing performance through data analysis. A demonstrated ability in supporting direct reports. A genuine interest in industry trends, with good industry knowledge. An amazing stakeholder manager and relationship builder, establishing productive internal and external relationships. An affinity with our brand and is an authentic ambassador of our people values.
