We deliver a comprehensive regeneration capability to improve the County's economic prosperity, regenerate communities, improve liveability and create a more connected and aspirational County.

In doing so, we will support a broader county-wide assets-based approach to promote economic growth and an improved quality of life for its communities. Building on the opportunities emerging from North East Combined Authority to enhance its regeneration impact, taking its lead from Northumberland County Council, and working in collaboration with key partners.

The Business Transformation team is part of the wider corporate services team, which includes, IT, Business Operations, People and Marketing. The team are central to all activities across the business and are charged with driving a continuous improvement culture.

We are now seeking a
Continuous Improvement Manager

to support the work of this team business wide.

Reporting to Deborah Evans, the Head of Business Transformation, the postholder will help shape and deliver continuous improvement activities across the business.

Duties and Responsibilities:

To support the Head of Business Transformation, deliver our efficiency and business improvement strategies across the Group, and drive a continuous and sustainable improvement culture, in line with business objectives.

· Define and implement continuous improvement initiatives and ensure appropriate management information and procedures are in place, working with
Department Heads and individual teams to assist understanding and implementation.

·
Support the Head of Business Transformation to monitor compliance and quality across the business to ensure risk is proactively identified and addressed, governance processes are in place and effectively applied and monitored.

· Liaise with external regulators and advisers, such as accreditation bodies and to be the lead contact on ISO accreditations. Coordinate all associated audits and contribute to budget monitoring.

· Act as the subject matter expert for all quality initiatives used across the organisation.  Facilitate the use of CRM as a tool for managing data.

· Support the implementation of new technologies and initiatives, and the optimization of existing systems across the organisation.

· Create external networks and attend best practice support groups to increase knowledge and understanding for self and business.

· Provide advice and guidance to colleagues and partner organisations relating to both established internal policy and external regulations or legislation, including advice on adapting corporate policies and procedures to meet internal and external demands

Essential Criteria

· Build and maintain positive relationships with all colleagues, customers and clients.

· Plan, organise and attend internal and external meetings, and prepare and deliver reports as required.

· Ensure activities deliver the intended outcomes, meet the required conditions and quality standards, and are within agreed time and cost constraints.

· Work with a wide variety of teams and people, demonstrating excellent communication skills

· Show a high level of IT literacy across a range of systems and the ability to be adept at implementing new technologies

· Work autonomously

· Hold a relevant business degree

Salary – £39,634 - £44,000
per annum (depending on experience)

Annual leave -
Start with 26 days, increasing to 31 days with service.
