Duties
* Drafting and negotiating Section 106 agreements and other planning obligations with developers and local authorities
* Advising on planning applications, appeals, and inquiries, ensuring compliance with planning law and governance frameworks
* Handling enforcement matters, including drafting enforcement notices and advising on procedures
* Providing legal support on development projects, including conservation areas, highways, and compulsory purchase orders
* Delivering clear, practical advice to planning committees and officers, supporting decision-making and governance compliance
Experience
* Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive with practising certificate – Essential
* Previous Local Authority planning experience – Essential
* Strong understanding of s106 agreements – Essential
* Knowledge of Local Government processes and committee work – Essential
