My client is recruiting for a Business Development Executive / Marketing Professional to join their team.Any East Anglia Office - Norwich, Ipswich Cambridge, Salary £35,000-£41,000 Bids Executive – Business Development and Marketing The Bids Team plays a vital role within the wider Business Development and Marketing function, which comprises over 30 professionals working collaboratively to support the organisation’s strategic goals and values. Purpose of the Role This is a dynamic, hands-on position focused on supporting business development efforts, particularly in managing the end-to-end process of responding to bids, proposals, and tenders. The role is key to securing new business opportunities and generating revenue from both new prospects and existing clients. The Bids Executive will be responsible for coordinating bid production across all practice areas, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining creative oversight throughout the process. Key Responsibilities Produce tender documents, proposals, and presentations across various offices, practice areas, and sectors. Provide guidance on bid best practices. Apply innovative thinking to highlight key themes and messages in proposals. Assist in maintaining an opportunities pipeline within the CRM system for tracking and analysis. Support pitch teams with presentation preparation, including rehearsals and feedback. Edit and rewrite proposal content sourced from multiple stakeholders. Use Pitch Perfect and SharePoint for content management and data input. Conduct web-based research to support bid development. Legal Directories Support the coordination of annual legal directory submissions, ensuring timely and high-quality contributions from practice teams. Marketing Collateral Collaborate with the wider BD and Marketing team to produce marketing materials using tools such as InDesign. Personal Development Contribute to team initiatives aimed at differentiating the organisation in the marketplace. Provide support to colleagues across different office locations as required. Experience and Skills Proven experience in writing proposals, tenders, and presentations, ideally within professional services. Self-motivated with a proactive approach to supporting colleagues. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Flexible and adaptable with working hours. Qualifications and Attributes Solid understanding of marketing and business development processes. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build relationships. Demonstrates initiative and a commitment to continuous improvement. Strong project management and prioritisation skills. Proficient in Excel and familiar with CRM or data management systems.
