Quantity Surveyor – High-End Residential

Recruiter: Acting on behalf of our client – a prestigious residential construction specialist
We’re working with a highly regarded construction firm that delivers luxury homes, period property refurbishments, and listed building projects across London and the South East. They are currently seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis, supporting projects from their Basingstoke base with regular site visits across London and surrounding areas.
The Opportunity:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you’ll be instrumental in the commercial management of high-end residential and heritage schemes, including some of London’s most iconic properties. You’ll collaborate closely with architects, subcontractors, and clients, ensuring that quality and attention to detail are at the forefront of delivery.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare valuations and final accounts
*
Manage subcontractor packages from procurement through to final payment
*
Track financial progress through monthly cost reports, cash flow forecasting and budget tracking
*
Ensure all project variations are properly recorded, agreed and actioned
*
Review existing commercial procedures and suggest improvements
*
Support the team in delivering projects to time, cost and quality standards
About You:
*
Proven background in private residential construction, ideally in high-spec / bespoke housing
*
Comfortable working on complex refurbishments, including listed and heritage buildings
*
Skilled in valuation, cost reporting, managing subcontractors, and change control
*
Excellent working knowledge of Excel and other relevant digital tools
*
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
*
Organised, commercially minded, and detail-focused
