Sustainability Consultant / BREEAM Assessor
Birmingham (Hybrid Working Available)
Salary up to £45,000
Full-Time | Permanent
A leading multidisciplinary consultancy based in Birmingham is seeking a talented BREEAM Consultant to join its growing Sustainability & Net Zero team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced sustainability professional with strong expertise in BREEAM assessments, embodied carbon analysis, and Net Zero strategy to take the next step in their career within a forward-thinking and expanding organisation.
The Role
The successful candidate will lead and deliver BREEAM assessments across the full project lifecycle, while supporting a wide range of environmental certification and sustainability advisory services including:
* BREEAM New Construction, Refurbishment & In-Use
* WELL, Fitwel, CEEQUAL and HQM assessments
* Embodied Carbon & Whole Life Carbon (LCA) analysis
* Net Zero Carbon strategies & decarbonisation roadmaps
* Sustainability reporting and environmental compliance
* Pre & Post Occupancy Evaluations
* ESG-aligned sustainability advisory services
The role involves close collaboration with architects, M&E engineers, contractors and project managers, providing strategic guidance on low-carbon design, circular economy principles, sustainable materials and energy strategy.
Candidate Requirements
The client is looking for candidates with:
* Licensed BREEAM Assessor qualification (essential)
* Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, Building Services, Architecture or similar
* Proven experience delivering BREEAM and other environmental certification schemes (WELL, LEED, CEEQUAL, HQM)
* Strong knowledge of:
* Net Zero Carbon
* Embodied Carbon / Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)
* Sustainable Design & Environmental Compliance
* Membership of a relevant professional body (IEMA, CIBSE, RICS, BRE etc.) desirable
* Excellent technical report writing and stakeholder communication skills
* Full UK Driving Licence
