About your job
As a Division Strategy Manager, reporting directly to the Division President, you will help shape the company’s long‑term direction by combining strategic analysis with deep market and competitive insights. You will translate market and industrial trends into actionable recommendations that guide investment, product, operations, and portfolio decisions including managing the execution of key projects.
You will collaborate closely with key stakeholders in Finance, R&D, Product Management, Operations, Supply, Aftermarket and Sales to ensure the business can make fact based decisions to target market leadership by anticipating market shifts within a rapidly evolving landscape.
The location for this position is within the United Kingdom, Sweden or any European location. Travel will be part of your job.

Main responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Business Priorities
1. Support the development and execution of multi‑year divisional strategic plans
2. Conduct or provide support to teams conducting business case evaluations for new technologies, product lines, manufacturing capabilities, manufacturing partnerships for example to produce high‑quality strategic assessments, recommendations, and scenarios
3. Lead and/or contribute to strategic initiatives across areas such as:Value chain mapping including identifying potential Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) or collaboration targetsSupport developing our commercial digital offering roadmap and strategy including remote monitoring, predictive maintenance and actionable insights capabilityGlobal expansion and market entry including market studies and segmentation Operational efficiency and productivity improvementsSupply chain resilience, pricing and cost optimisationSustainability and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) integration
Market and Competitive Intelligence
4. Monitor global manufacturing and digital/technology trends
5. Analyse customer needs, industry demand patterns, and competitor positioning using data, modelling and research to produce accurate insights
6. Interpret and produce market outlooks, dashboards, and executive briefs in a clear and compelling way
7. Maintain intelligence repositories for key competitors, technologies, and industry segments
Business and Commercial Acumen
8. Perform forecasting, modelling, and scenario planning to support strategic decision‑making
9. Analyse internal performance data to identify improvement opportunities
10. Evaluate Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) related to manufacturing, capacity, productivity, and cost efficiency
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
11. Partner Finance, R&D, Product Management, Operations, Supply, Aftermarket and Sales teams to understand business realities
12. Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in clear, compelling formats
13. Facilitate workshops and strategic reviews with cross‑functional stakeholders
14. Manages multiple projects in an evolving environment including execution

To be considered for the role you must be able to meet our essential asks:
Education
15. Essential to have a Degree in Engineering, Business Management or Economics. A Masters in any of the disciplines listed would be seen favourably depending on level of industry experience
Experience
16. Experience from working in a strategy role with a top-tier consulting firm or a similar strategy role in a multinational company ideally within engineering manufacturing or technology sectors
17. Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with data tools (Power BI, etc.) is a must
Desirable
18. Knowledge of industrial value chains, manufacturing processes, or engineered products is highly desirable
Operating in a truly global environment calls for excellent skills in English, verbally and in writing.
