Now Hiring: Dressmaking Assistant / Sample Cutter
Location: Gravesend | Salary: £12.50/hour (Temp-to-Perm) or £22,750/year (Permanent)
Job Type: Full-time | Hours: 35 per week | Start: IMMEDIATE
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Dressmaking Assistant to join our friendly design room team. If you have a passion for fashion, an eye for detail, and experience working with dress patterns and bespoke garments - this could be your perfect next step!
Key Responsibilities:
* Cutting paper dress patterns for new and bespoke designs
* Assisting with the development of innovative, modern samples
* Preparing and packing samples for factory production
* Keeping the design room clean and organised
* Supporting with admin duties, including booking dress grades in/out
* Working closely with the design team to meet production timelines
Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years of industry experience (preferred)
* Good understanding of both written and spoken English
* Ability to work Monday-Friday (No weekend work!)
* Basic to advanced sewing skills a strong advantage
* Must be highly organised, reliable, and able to multitask
Working Hours:
* Flexible start: Either 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
or 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM (30-minute lunch)
* No more than 35 hours per week
