Roles: Resident Engineer in Mechanical, Electrical Disciplines.

Reporting to: Engineering Manager
As a Resident Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction and maintenance of the civil, mechanical, or electrical infrastructure and structural elements of a Subsea Cable Factory Project in the Port of Nigg.
You will serve as the primary point of contact between contractors, project stakeholders, and engineering teams, ensuring that construction activities adhere to design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Construction Oversight: Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
2. Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections and quality control checks to verify construction quality, addressing deviations as needed.
3. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of construction activities, including logs, reports, and drawings; communicate project status to stakeholders.
4. Technical Support: Provide technical guidance to construction teams, resolve engineering issues, interpret specifications, and facilitate problem-solving.
5. Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with clients, consultants, regulatory agencies, and community representatives, fostering relationships and addressing concerns.
6. Change Management: Manage scope, schedule, and budget changes, evaluate modifications, and facilitate decision-making.
7. Team Communication: Maintain detailed communication with the design team.
Educational Requirements
* Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering; a Master’s Degree is advantageous.
* Recognition from accredited programs is preferred.
Professional Licensing and Certification
* PE or CEng license is preferred.
* Safety Certifications, such as OSHA or NEBOSH, are recommended.
Experience
* 5-10 years of experience in the relevant discipline, with site supervision and project management background.
* Field experience in large-scale infrastructure, manufacturing, or electrical projects is essential.
* Proven skills in quality assurance, inspection, and code compliance.
Technical Skills
* Familiarity with site management software.
* Knowledge of relevant codes (Eurocode, ASME, IEC).
* Skills in structural analysis, HVAC, plumbing, or power systems, depending on discipline.
* Leadership, communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
