Overview
Multi Skilled Shift Engineer – Electrical Bias to work with Mitie clients, providing a multi-skilled maintenance service covering electrical and mechanical disciplines and delivering reactive and pro-active maintenance as per project requirements to all operational equipment.
Responsibilities
* Carry out modifications and installations when required, maintain, repair, and calibrate electrical, mechanical and instrumentation plant to optimise reliability and maintainability.
* Provide a service that ensures all key performance indicators are met and liaise with contractors or external suppliers where required.
* Complete required paperwork, produce reports accurately and on a timely basis.
* Carry out work to high standards in line with company policies and procedures and report any deficiencies in systems of work or equipment that may result in failure of service delivery, or risk to health and safety or the environment.
* Ensure own work and the work of those under supervision is completed in a safe and diligent manner.
* The ideal candidate would have up-to-date training such as NVQ Level 3 in Engineering Maintenance (multi-discipline) and have good knowledge of building Statutory Compliance, read and understand technical drawings, and possess strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with effective verbal and written communication.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 in Engineering Maintenance (multi-discipline) or equivalent
* Knowledge of building Statutory Compliance
* Ability to read and understand technical drawings
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills; effective communication
* Awareness of Health and Safety at Work Act (1974)
Shift and Requirements
Shift Timing: 4 days on, 4 off, 4 nights, 4 off. Day shift: 06:00-18:00, Night shift: 18:00-06:00.
