Role Overview MET Technician
You will be responsible for a wide range of Mechanical, Electrical and Trim duties, including:
* Carrying out MET work on allocated jobs to manufacturer standards
* Removal and refitting of radiators, air-conditioning repairs, and re-gassing
* Vehicle diagnostics, fault finding, and fault clearing
* Suspension component removal and replacement, including steering racks, subframes, hubs, knuckles, and associated parts
* ADAS calibrations (training provided)
* Airbag system work, including removal of dashboards and roof linings for airbag replacement
* High Voltage vehicle processes, including safe de-energising and re-energising
* Wiring repairs and electrical fault rectification
* Identifying additional repair work and liaising with the VDA
* Ensuring all work meets manufacturer gapping, tolerances, and quality expectations
Requirements MET Technician
* Proven experience in a bodyshop environment is essential
* Strong background in MET, strip & fit, or mechanical repair
* Experience with suspension, steering, and structural component removal
* Understanding of wiring repairs and HV vehicle safety procedures
* Full UK driving licence
* City & Guilds, NVQ or ATA qualifications are desirable but not essential
* Candidates with 3+ years experience in a similar role will be of particular interest
