FP&A Controller (Healthcare)
Location: Central London (Hybrid Working - 3 days in the office)
My client is within the Healthcare Industry and is seeking an FP&A Business Partner to bridge finance and Care Groups. The role is a key interface with the finance team, owning the financial plan and forecast for the Care Group.
Responsibilities include:
* Owning the Care Group P&L from a finance perspective to drive optimal financial performance.
* Delivering the Care Group P&L plan/forecast inputs and sensitivities to the central FP&A team, ensuring integrity of assumptions and buy-in from management.
* Serving as the financial contact for the Care Group, providing business partnering, financial input, and screening of business cases including growth, resources, and marketing ROI.
* Assessing the long-term service model of the Care Group, providing financial advice and analysis, and communicating risks and opportunities.
* Building strong, trust-based relationships with senior leadership and influencing financial decisions.
* Providing insightful commentary aligned with month-end and quarterly forecasts.
* Collaborating with central FP&A and clinical teams to optimize staffing controls and compliance.
* Managing the Care Group’s Staffing Model, challenging resource requests, and following up on variances.
* Working with Procurement to identify supply efficiencies.
* Leading profitability analysis and implementing changes to optimize profitability.
* Conducting benchmarking against competitors in KPIs and financial results.
* Performing ad hoc analysis to support financial decision-making.
Required Experience:
* Proven track record of driving financial improvement.
* Successful financial ownership of a P&L or segments thereof.
* High emotional intelligence and excellent communication skills, comfortable discussing financials with non-financial audiences, especially clinicians.
* Healthcare experience (desirable).
* ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified with at least 4 years post-qualification experience.
* Degree 2/2 minimum.
* Advanced Excel, Power BI skills, and an interest in automation for analysis.
