Salary: Up to £42,500 per annum (includes bonuses)
Location: Carlisle
Specific Hours: 40 Hours per week (Monday to Friday)
We are currently seeking an experienced Residential Registered Manager to join our new service in Carlisle.
North Lakes Children's Services is a well-established provider of therapeutic residential care and education for boys aged 6-18, focused on improving resilience, self-esteem, and abilities.
We have a management opportunity at our 4-bedroom home in Carlisle. If you can inspire your team and have an approachable leadership style, we would love to hear from you if you are a qualified and experienced Children's Home Registered Manager.
Main Duties
1. Ensure the Statement of Purpose is in place, reflecting the needs of young people and the qualifications, experience, and expertise of staff.
2. Develop effective communication strategies for the team to facilitate the flow of information.
3. Manage and develop quality services for young people, ensuring policies and procedures are implemented.
4. Identify staff training and development needs and assist in training staff.
5. Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Regulations.
6. Regularly inspect the condition of the building and ensure equipment is in good order.
7. Maintain effective financial budgets, controls, and records.
8. Promote equality and diversity policies and ensure staff understand and implement Child Protection Procedures.
9. Set, monitor, and evaluate standards at individual, team, and service levels.
10. Establish and manage team communication systems.
11. Ensure professional practice standards are maintained and improved.
12. Provide leadership and vision to staff, managing workload, policies, supervision, and performance.
All Applicants Must Have
* An understanding of issues faced by young people in care
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma, Children and Young People's Workforce/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care)
* Level 5 diploma in Leadership and Management or equivalent
* Excellent communication and listening skills
* Willingness to learn and work as part of a team
* Willing to undertake a DBS check (paid for by us)
* Experience with Emotional Behavioural Disorder, Social/Residential Work, or Youth Work is advantageous
* A full, clean UK driving licence and flexibility to cover other Residential Homes as needed
