Brightpoint Community College invites applications for one or more nine‑month, full‑time teaching faculty positions in Mathematics, beginningin Fall 2026. The College seeks dynamic, student‑centered educators committed to excellence in teaching, ongoing professional growth, and service to the institution and community. The number of candidates hired will depend on departmental needs and applicant qualifications.

The selected faculty member will teach the equivalent of 15-credit hours per semester, delivering instruction across developmental and college‑level courses in face‑to‑face, hybrid, and online formats. The position requires creating and maintaining an engaging, accessible learning environment, assessing student progress through appropriate and timely evaluation methods, and keeping accurate instructional records. The faculty member will contribute to the ongoing review and development of the mathematics curriculum and instructional materials, working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure alignment with emerging best practices and college goals.

In addition to teaching, the faculty member will advise students, maintain regular office hours, and support student success both inside and outside the classroom. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to teach a broad range of mathematics courses, including developmental and college‑level offerings. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential, as is the willingness to teach a variety of course formats and schedules, including day, evening, weekend, and online sections, across any of the College’s instructional locations. Candidates must be committed to adopting and effectively using new and emerging instructional technologies, and to providing high‑quality accessible instruction that meets the needs of Brightpoint’s student population. Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check.Additional Considerations:

Prior postsecondary teaching experience instructing a variety of mathematics courses. Candidates with demonstrated success using instructional technologies, learning management systems, and digital tools to support teaching and learning will be highly competitive. Experience designing or facilitating online or hybrid courses, using accessible and engaging teaching practices, and supporting varied student populations is also desirable.
