Eastlands Venue Services Limited is a joint venture between City Football Group (CFG) and Oak View Group (OVG).
We deliver high-quality catering and hospitality services year-round across the Etihad Stadium and Co-op Live arena, supporting events for Manchester City Football Club and some of the biggest names in entertainment.
With a growing team of over 80 permanent staff and around 3,000 casual workers, through teamwork, innovation and excellence we support 150+ live events annually. About the Role
You’ll play a key role in shaping team culture, maintaining high operational standards, and driving performance across service, compliance, and safety. Whether it’s managing the floor during a sold-out event day, developing team members, or overseeing stock and licensing procedures – your focus will be on delivering excellence and building a motivated, service-driven team.
Day to Day Key Responsibilities
* Team Culture & Leadership – Build a supportive, high-performing team environment with strong collaboration.
* Team Development – Identify and nurture talent to help team members grow.
* Performance Management – Hold honest conversations around performance, offer support, and take action when needed.
* Bar Operations – Oversee the bar team to deliver fast, compliant, high-quality service, including managing licensing, allergen procedures, and legal paperwork.
* Guest Experience – Ensure every table is checked by management, feedback is handled on the spot, and any serious issues are escalated to the Duty Manager.
* Safety & Compliance – Maintain a safe, compliant environment through training, coaching, paperwork, and adherence to legal and company standards.
* Event Setup & Close – Ensure the venue is fully prepared and closed down to a high standard, covering the bar, service stations, and tables.
* Labour Management – Manage staffing levels to meet demand and control costs, reducing hours when appropriate.
* Equipment Maintenance – Report any equipment issues promptly using the 24/7 form and notify the Duty Manager of urgent problems.
* A disciplined and smart worker with the technical skills to produce excellent standards of individual work, and the flexibility and emotional intelligence to be a strong and impactful team player.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience & Skills:
* Proven experience leading and developing high-performing teams in a hospitality environment (restaurants & bars).
* Strong understanding of bar operations, licensing, and health & safety compliance
* Confident handling guest feedback and resolving issues calmly and professionally
* Comfortable using systems for reporting maintenance and ensuring paperwork is up to date

* Leads by example with a positive, hands-on approach
* Clear, confident communicator — with both team and guests
* Comfortable giving constructive feedback and holding others accountable
Mindset & Attitude:
* Calm under pressure, solutions-focused, and adaptable

* Detail-oriented, especially around standards, cleanliness, and compliance
Desirable (but not essential):
* Personal licence holder
* Experience with events or high-volume venues
