Our client, a well-established and fast-paced fresh produce manufacturer, is seeking a Quality Control (QC) Analyst to join their dedicated team. This role is ideal for individuals with hands-on experience in fresh produce manufacturing, particularly those with a background in quality control or operational roles that included exposure to quality assurance procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct routine quality control checks on incoming raw materials and finished products to ensure they meet company and customer specifications.
* Monitor product integrity, temperature, weight, appearance, and packaging against standards.
* Accurately record QC data and escalate any non-conformances in a timely manner.
* Work closely with production and technical teams to ensure consistent product quality and compliance with food safety standards.
* Support internal audits, traceability exercises, and investigations into customer complaints or product issues.
* Assist in maintaining documentation, SOPs, and records in line with BRC and customer requirements.
* Promote a culture of continuous improvement and quality awareness on the factory floor.
Person Specification:
* Previous experience in the fresh produce industry is essential.
* Experience in quality control, technical, or production roles with exposure to QC responsibilities is highly desirable.
* Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Familiarity with food safety, HACCP principles, and retailer standards (e.g., BRC, Red Tractor) is a plus.
