We are seeking an experienced Civil/Structural Contractors Engineering Manager (CEM) with a proven track record in delivering bridges and/or tunnels on major rail infrastructure projects. Based in Leeds, this is a key contract opportunity to join a high-performing team on a technically complex programme of works.
Act as the appointed CEM for civil and structural elements focused on bridge and tunnel works within a rail environment.
Provide engineering assurance and oversight across the full lifecycle – from design through to construction and handover.
Ensure all engineering works are compliant with Network Rail standards, CDM regulations, and client requirements.
Coordinate with Civil CREs, Design Houses, and Construction Managers to ensure safe, efficient delivery.
Lead interface management between civil structures, geotechnical, and adjacent disciplines.
Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
Significant experience as a CEM or senior CRE on rail bridge or tunnel schemes.
In-depth understanding of Network Rail processes, assurance documentation, and structural design standards.
Work on a high-impact rail infrastructure programme involving major structures.
Flexible hybrid working environment with site visits as required.
