This is a 50/50 dual-role position, combining hands-on MOT testing with front-of-house and reception duties — ideal for someone who enjoys both technical work and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
MOT Tester Responsibilities (50%)
* Carry out MOT tests in line with DVSA regulations
* Perform vehicle inspections and basic diagnostics
* Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and compliance standards
* Clearly identify required repairs and advise customers on next steps
* Maintain accurate digital MOT and vehicle records
* Work efficiently within workshop schedules and procedures
Reception / Front-of-House Responsibilities (50%)
* Welcome customers and handle enquiries in person and by phone
* Book MOTs, servicing, and repairs using garage management systems
* Manage the workshop diary and coordinate job flow
* Process payments, invoices, and job cards
* Communicate vehicle findings, costs, and timescales clearly and professionally
* Support general administrative tasks to keep operations running smoothly
