We're now looking for a Warehouse Nights Ops Manager to lead our operations and drive success.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
* Strategically manage all warehouse, distribution, and maintenance activities in line with DHL's policies and vision, monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of all functions, performance, and productivity, ensuring safe and cost-effective methods are a priority.
* Manage and implement the daily coordination of direct reports, ensuring schedules, regulations, records, and working practices are up-to-date and compliant with company policies and UK legislation, while maintaining excellent working practices and health & safety standards.
* Control operational processes (inbound, picking, outbound, etc.), fulfilling service level agreements and deadlines.
* Take operational leadership and budget responsibility to ensure a safe, efficient operation that meets standards and customer expectations.
* Manage a team of 4 Shift Managers, FLMs, and colleagues on site.
* Work in a food retail warehouse environment.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
* Previous practical experience as a Warehouse Operations Manager within a busy logistics environment.
* Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain management and legislation.
* Experience managing shift managers within a warehouse environment.
* Strong leadership skills, with the ability to organize and train direct reports.
* Computer literacy, with practical knowledge of logistics software.
* Analytical skills, with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
* Experience in budget control and P&L management.
* Resource planning experience.
* Willing to work Sun - Thu (22:00 - 06:00) night shift.
