Eastbourne Citadel Salvation Army Corps is a vibrant, busy Church. We have a busy weekday community programme supporting our mission to the community. We are recruiting an Administrator to support the efficient running of our church life and community programme, which links into the nearby Charity/Coffee Shop.
Key Responsibilities:
The Administrator will be responsible for providing an administrative service including reception enquiries from the public, maintaining financial records, including raising invoices and inputting weekly financial information into an electronic accounting system. The successful candidate will coordinate hall bookings and maintain supplies by checking stock to determine inventory levels and anticipate needs. To ensure all health & safety standards are met and good records are kept in good order, you will manage the Safeguarding requirements, Risk Assessments and record keeping for the Corps.
The Successful Candidate will be able to demonstrate:
1. Working knowledge of IT Systems (including Microsoft Office Suite)
2. Ability to work with figures and money
3. Ability to multi-task and manage own time effectively
4. Able to handle confidential information appropriately
5. Ability to communicate and empathise with a wide spectrum of the community, whilst having a genuine passion for the marginalised in society
6. Good interpersonal skills and the experience of working within an office environment carrying out tasks such as filing, typing, minute taking, organising workload, as well as a good knowledge of MS Office programmes, such as Word, Excel & TEAMS
7. Minimum Grade C in G.C.S.E. English and Numeracy, or the equivalent level.
8. Good Interpersonal skills and use of one’s own initiative and evidence of enthusiastic and creative approach to problem solving
9. Ability to work within the Christian Ethos of The Salvation Army
