Company Overview:
Russell Taylor Group is working with an established pharmaceutical manufacturing company seeking an experienced QA Manager. This role is pivotal in developing the QA team, QMS, and department growth, offering a great opportunity to join a rapidly progressing company.
The Role:
1. Manage a team of quality professionals, conduct regular meetings, performance reviews, and career development planning.
2. Recruit and onboard new staff members.
3. Set objectives and provide feedback and coaching.
4. Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive QMS suitable for pharmaceutical and food/ingredients products.
5. Drive improvements through risk management and root-cause analysis.
6. Oversee the functioning of the QMS and coordinate with key stakeholders, including senior staff.
7. Handle change control, stability, documentation, internal audits, GMP, supplier approval, complaints, PQRs, NPI, and controlled drug returns.
8. Ensure compliance with documentation practices, batch records, laboratory tests, and quality agreements.
9. Oversee supplier verification and vendor audits.
10. Manage the batch review process.
11. Stay updated on UK & EU regulations relevant to pharmaceutical and food/ingredients manufacturing.
12. Ensure compliance with EU GMP standards and BRC food safety requirements.
13. Lead preparation and hosting of MHRA inspections and third-party audits.
14. Ensure quality goals and deadlines are met, providing metrics to HOQ.
15. Manage daily operations of the quality team, overseeing product flow and batch review processes.
16. Develop training programs.
17. Handle external communication with regulatory bodies.
18. Act as deputy for the HOQ when necessary.
The Person:
* Degree in a STEM-related subject.
* Experience managing QA teams in GMP/pharmaceutical settings.
* Management experience (team leader or similar).
* Experience in batch review and release.
* Experience in auditing and audit hosting.
* Knowledge of CAPA, deviations, change controls, and internal auditing.
