Job Description
Part-Time Finance Manager (Hybrid) duties:
3. Responsibilities include overseeing financial operations, devising financial plans, conducting analyses, and enhancing procedures and controls. Leading financial guidance and training for Trust personnel and volunteers is also a key role.
4. Ensuring the smooth day-to-day financial functioning in accordance with procedures, serving as the primary contact for financial data for grants and funder reporting.
5. Managing relations with auditors, bankers, and payroll services while scrutinising legal and financial documents for accuracy and compliance.
6. Leading and problem-solving within the team and suggesting solutions when necessary.
Budgeting:
7. Collecting financial data for efficient budget creation and monitoring, along with performing diverse financial analyses for current and projected trust financial well-being.
8. Contributing to funding strategies, particularly focusing on unrestricted income.
Management Accounts:
9. Compiling monthly accrual-based management accounts, pinpointing budget deviations, and presenting these to the CEO and managers.
10. Supplying additional financial reports and updates to the CEO, Finance Committee, and Council, collaborating with the Treasurer to ensure effective financial governance.
Payroll:
11. Preparing payroll details for external payroll provider and managing staff salary payments.
12. Reviewing pension administration procedures.
Statutory Accounts:
13. Supervising accounts preparation for the annual audit, leading the compilation of the annual report and financial statements
The Successful Applicant
Part-Time Finance Manager (Hybrid) criteria: Essential:
14. Great interpersonal, communication, and presentation proficiency.
15. Proficiency with Excel and database utilisation.
16. Skill in overseeing, guiding, and supervising personnel to ensure proper financial protocols.
17. Experience in line management, mentorship, and coaching of team members.
18. Comprehension of policy and procedural frameworks.
19. Knowledge of direct debit procedures.
20. Proficiency in GDPR application and reporting.
21. Capacity for initiative and adept problem-solving.
Desirable:
22. Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or similar financial systems.
