A caring, reliable and patient Support Worker is required to support a 15-year-old girl who has cerebral palsy and is a wheelchair user. This is a rewarding role supporting her daily routine, independence and overall wellbeing.
Your responsibilities as a Support Worker:
* Helping with personal care
* Supporting mobility and transfers
* Helping with daily activities and routines
* Offering companionship and encouragement
* Accompanying her to appointments, school, and outings (driver preferred)
* Working in a small team and alongside parents
* Attending hospital appointments alongside parents or other support staff
* Some light household cleaning
* Laundry
What were looking for in a Support Worker:
* Confidence driving a wheelchair accessible vehicle
* Previous experience in a care setting is desired, but not essential as full training is provided
* Kind, patient and trustworthy
* Confident working with young people
* Willing to learn and follow care plans
* Reliable with good communication skills
* Happy to work as part of a family-centred support team
* Able to be fun and creative
