Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Help Desk Support Engineer. Your daily tasks will involve technical support, troubleshooting, and assisting end-users with Telecoms and IT technology stacks.
You will also support installation engineers with pre and post-installation tasks, including programming routers, handsets, and basic user and routing configurations.
This is a hybrid role based in Huddersfield with remote work options, so living within a commutable distance is essential.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Proven experience in Telecoms or IT support roles or MSP support experience.
* Knowledge of systems like 8x8 and 3CX.
* Experience with internet connectivity types such as leased lines, FTTP, and SOGEA.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Interest in technology and a desire to learn and progress.
* Adaptability, flexibility, and enthusiasm as a team player.
* Proactive attitude and willingness to develop new skills.
* Customer service skills with professional communication.
* 1st/2nd line IT support experience, including Windows OS troubleshooting, networking, and firewalls, with change management abilities.
* Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365.
* Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune).
* Experience supporting remote users and managing endpoints via RMM tools or remote desktop solutions.
