Hybrid Working: 3 days in the office, 2 days wherever


Why this job matters

The Network Engineering Specialist undertakes engineering activities that contributes towards the delivery of client technical requirements, deploying optimal networking and connectivity solutions that enable clients and the enterprise to achieve their operational and business goals.

You will be responsible for driving the development and execution of products and solutions, from conception through to launch, ensuring they align with our strategic network objectives and stakeholder needs. You will work closely with planning, integration, operations, product owners and development scrum teams to deliver Network OSS capabilities required for systems and process enhancements that are truly end to end across the plan & build team


What you’ll be doing

* Develop and maintain a clear product vision and roadmap for specific Network OSS transformation that meets the need of stakeholders designing, planning, integrating, maintaining and operating plan & build processes across multiple platforms.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and business stakeholders, to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.
* Oversee the end-to-end delivery of Network OSS transformation and delivery projects from planning, design to implementation & testing as well as embedding technology solutions within stakeholder processes through effective user adoption.
* Participates in the end-to-end product development lifecycle including requirement gathering, specification writing and prioritisation. 
* Ensure that products meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and scalability. 
* Drive data-driven decision-making across the product lifecycle, from initial research to post-launch analysis. 
* Monitor product performance and stakeholder feedback post-launch, and iterate on the product to improve its effectiveness. 
* Collaborate with teams to create KPI dashboards, reports, and insights that help monitor product performance and inform decision-making. 
* Identify and mitigate risks associated with network transformation projects, ensuring minimal disruption to existing services and remaining security compliant at all times.
* Act as the primary point of contact for all plan & build initiatives, ensuring alignment with internal and external stakeholders.
* Mentoring and support for Engineering professionals and team members, helping to improve the team’s abilities by acting as a technical resource for process improvement and agile working.
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in Network engineering OSS.


Skills you'll need

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
* Strategic thinking, ability to align programmes with long-term network evolution goals and business outcomes.
* Programme delivery expertise, proven experience managing complex, multi-year transformation initiatives across infrastructure, automation, and data domains.
* Benefits realisation, skilled in tracking and delivering against business cases, including CAPEX, efficiency, and customer impact.
* Good knowledge of our network platforms and technologies powered by Ciena, Nokia and Huawei. In depth knowledge of network topologies, inventory and processes.
* Strong understanding of Network OSS and transformation processes.
* Agile and hybrid delivery models, ability to lead MVPs, iterative rollouts, and scaled transformation.
* Stakeholder engagement, confident communicator across technical, operational, and executive levels.
* Cross-functional leadership, ability to break silos and drive collaboration across engineering, field, and service teams.


Experience you'll have

* Experience working as a product owner, focused on Network OSS transformation and process improvement
* Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
* Proven track record of managing complex network transformation projects.
