Quantity Surveyor

The Role
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team and play a key role in the financial management of refurbishment and retrofit projects. Working closely with project and leadership teams, the successful candidate will support the delivery of projects from pre-construction through to final account, ensuring commercial control and value are maintained throughout.
Key Responsibilities
Support the pre-construction process, including cost planning, tender analysis and contract negotiations
Manage project budgets, cost reporting and forecasting
Prepare and agree subcontractor packages and manage subcontractor accounts
Monitor and manage variations, change control and risk
Prepare valuations, applications for payment and final accounts
Work closely with project and site teams to ensure commercial objectives are achieved
Build and maintain strong client and supply chain relationships
Key Skills & Experience
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline
Minimum 56 years experience in a Quantity Surveyor or similar role
Experience working on refurbishment and retrofit projects preferred
Strong understanding of traditional and design-and-build contracts
Excellent written, numerical and communication skills
Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail

Strong understanding of the construction sector
Confident using commercial and cost management systems
Excellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative, consultative approach
Ability to build long-term relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal teams
