As a
Operations Assistant
based in
Cardiff
you will be responsible for: Working within a yard environment picking/packing goods
Providing a high level of customer service by supplying the correct materials.
Checking goods-in are correctly delivered against delivery notes and goods are booked in on the Wolseley System, then put away accurately and safely.
Accurately picking and labelling goods booked out to customers and other branches using Wolseley System, ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed.
Maintaining standards of housekeeping and adhere to health and safety guidelines, including manual handling techniques, use of loading equipment and PPE.
This is a permanent, full-time position working 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday 7am - 5pm. No weekend work required.
And here’s what we’d like you to have: Industry or merchant experience is advantageous but not essential
Proven experience in customer service / warehouse environments
Good communication skills
A dependable team player approach, prepared to support in all areas of the branch with a strong work ethic.
Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and be prepared to work outside up to 80% of the time.
