An exciting opportunity has arisen for a EL / PL Solicitor (1–5 years’ PQE) to join the highly regarded firm renowned for its market-leading expertise in complex, high-value and sensitive medical malpractice matters
They are trusted by major healthcare bodies and insurers for its deep sector knowledge, technical excellence and calm handling of the most challenging cases. You will be part of a nationally recognised team advising on intricate legal and medical issues within the health and social care sector, with the benefit of working across a truly international platform
The Role
You will work closely with experienced Partners and senior lawyers, managing your own caseload while contributing to complex, high-profile matters. The role will include:
* Acting for healthcare organisations
* Advising medical malpractice insurers for private hospitals, clinics and practitioners
* Managing a caseload of fast track and multi-track EL/PL claims
* Providing advice on medical insurance coverage, health law and regulatory issues
* Representing clients at inquests and judicial reviews
* Handling sensitive, high-stakes litigation involving complex legal and medical evidence
You will be supported within a collaborative team environment, with exposure to top-tier work from an early stage.
The Ideal Candidate
* Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales
* 1–5 years’ PQE with relevant litigation experience
* Strong knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules
* Experience handling EL/PL litigation, including managing your own caseload
* Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
* Confident communicator with strong client-handling skills
* Interest in healthcare, medical malpractice or public sector work
